Printed structure.
Industrial joints.

The frame is printed so you can reprint and revise it. The actuators and control bus are picked for real Physical AI development, with hardware safety built in.

Maker Arm shown fully assembled with its gripper, joints, and base visible
[ A ]

1.5 kg payload.

RobStride 02 actuators drive the shoulder pitch and elbow, where the load sits. Compact RobStride 00s handle the remaining joints and gripper.

[ B ]

3D-printed frame.

3D-printed structural parts make the arm easy to modify. You can reprint or revise parts as your project changes.

[ C ]

Runs on CAN bus.

CAN communication keeps wiring and control direct across the full 6+1 DoF chain.

  1. First

    Maker Arm SDK Alpha

Drive the arm from Python. Read joint state, send position and torque targets across the CAN chain, work the gripper, and script a full routine in a few lines.

  2. Then

    LeRobot integration Alpha

The path into Physical AI. Teleoperate the arm, record demonstration datasets, train a policy on them, and evaluate it back on the hardware.

Both. The $999 DIY kit ships as a complete set of printed parts, actuators, and wiring for you to build yourself. The $1,199 build arrives assembled, wired, and bench-tested, ready to develop on as soon as it is set up.
Shipping is a flat $129 per arm on both the $999 DIY kit and the $1,199 assembled build, added at checkout. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau ship at a lower local rate of 300 RMB / HKD / MOP per arm. Duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
Maker Arm is rated for a 1.5 kg payload. We are measuring reach on the production-intent prototype now and will add the final figure as soon as testing is complete.
The open release is coming soon. The BOM and CAD files will be published first. Printable STLs will follow, along with a wider software stack and likely LeRobot integration.
Maker Arm uses a mod-friendly 3D-printed structure and RobStride actuators at $1,199. Metal Arm is our $2,499 all-CNC research arm with published lab-grade specifications.
Yes. Two arms can form a bimanual setup. Contact us with your intended workflow and we will help scope the complete configuration.
